jenvetnurse writes "Vets - are you aware that there is currently a discussion going on regarding who should regulate the Veterinary Profession?
The RCVS have discussed with it's members about what changes they would like to see in the near future. The Government will soon be issuing a document stating the contents of a new Act.
The RCVS are currently responsible for the vets registraion, education and discipline.
The latest talk though is to discuss whether the RVCS should also be responsible for Veterinry Nurses registration, education and discipline.
Also other professionals who work alongside the Veterinary world - who should regulate these people and their conduct? For example cremation compnies, drug companies etc.
