jenvetnurse writes "An adult mare was presented with the history of a growth on vulva.
A clearly visible round mass about 3 cm in diameter, resembling a tumour was observed on the lower portion of vulvar lips.
The mass was bleeding, uncomfortable and being attacked by flies.
The clinical parameters of the animal were found to be well within normal ranges.
The mass was excised surgically and the surgical wound was closed using surgical gut. After local antiseptic dressing of the surgical site, systemic antibiotics and anti-inflammatory injections were administered to the animal which will be continued for next five days. It is very advisable to send the tumor mass for biopsy.
