New Product - take a look
Posted on Tuesday, October 02 @ 19:39:20 BST by jenvetadmin

trix ad jenvetnurse writes "We are looking for a few friendly vets to try out our Trix Tick Remover and give us feedback.

The Trix is manufactured in Sweden and is new to the UK this year. The remover works by trapping the tick inside a spring loaded monofilament loop. This method closes the needle like hypostome minimising the risk of back flow from the tick stomach.

In the UK, it appears most vets currently recommend the Otom Tick Twister although, our own studies and feedback have shown that the Trix is easier to use and more reliable. Published reports have shown the Otom hooks are not suitable for common UK tick species, severing or practically severing the mouthparts in 70% of cases.

The Trix RRP is £6.75 and vets can purchase wholesale starting at 1 carton (12 Trix). We have a full online ordering system for our trade customers making the whole process quick and simple. During the winter months, we will be offering special discounted prices enabling you to stock up ready for the 2008 tick season.

If you are interested in trying out the Trix, and giving us your feedback, we have a limited number of Trix available for evaluation. Please email us at sales@misotrading.co.uk
