An adult spayed bitch was presented with a history of a big growth hanging from its abdomen.
The animal was otherwise normal except for the discomfort arising from this pendulous mass.
Upon careful examination and investigation, it was diagnosed as mammary tumor and the vets decided to excise it.
The bitch was given a short acting general anesthesia and the growth was surgically removed. The excised mass weighed 1.5 kg.
The surgical wound was closed and animal was kept on daily antiseptic dressing, antibiotics and analgesics for next seven days.
Upon last examination, the animal was reported to be recovering normally, without any complications.
