An adult cow with the problem in its left eye was presented at Veterinary Polyclinic Bhuntar (Mohal) with the history of swelling and lacrimation since many months.
On careful examination, multiple growths were detected on nictitating membrane, eyeball and on conjunctiva of the left eye. There was extensive invasion of the eyeball with the growths causing the destruction of eyeball. The appetite, deafecation, urination and respiration etc. were normal. The routine clinical parameters were also well within the normal ranges. The growths were limited to the ocular area only.
Keeping in view the extensive invasion of eyeball, the surgical excision of the tumour mass and enucleation of destructed eyeball was carried out under local anaesthesia and sedation.
