First Competition Entry From Nikki
Posted on Tuesday, April 03 @ 22:22:50 BST by jenvetadmin

CatsEyes A vet who works at my practice was awakened late one night for a call out to a very worried old man who thought his beloved cat had died next to his chair.
The vet drove into the night to the mans house to examine the cat. He arrived at the old mans house and entered the living room where the man was sat in his armchair.
The vet sympathetically asked where the cat was. The old man pointed to an object laying beside the chair very still. At a closer look , all the vet could see was an old slippper on the floor.
The vet thought surely this wasn't what the man was referring to. The old man looked down and said "thats it. " "She's dead isn't she?!". The vet didn't know what else to do but to say "yes I'm very sorry but she has passed away in her sleep".
The old man was very upset and obviously confused and asked for the "cat" to be taken away. So the vet wrapped the slipper in the towel and removed it from the house as requested. Was there ever a real CAT?!
