WHEN A DOG URINATES LIKE A BITCH!!!!
Posted on Friday, January 26 @ 13:17:21 GMT by jenvetadmin

dog care painandrelief writes "Sometimes the male dog is brought to the clinic with the history that it is urinating like a bitch or sometimes we ourselves notice such dogs. The male dogs passing urine this way must be investigated for CYSTITIS.

ABNORMAL postures of MICTURITION may point towards some disorders of urinary tract. For Example:

___When an animal is observed to have frequent attempts for micturition but nothing is passed out or only few drops---It may be having some obstruction in the urinary tract.

__Animal may remain in urinating posture for sometime, after the actual urination has caesed---It indicates there is some irritation in the mucosa of urinary tract like injury, infection, liths, inflammation etc.

__Dysuria and urinary incontinence in dogs may also indicate uretheritis, urolithiasis etc.

___Apparent urinary Incontinence in Bitches may also be due to low estrogen levels after spaying or adhesions of stumps of resected out uterus with the urinary bladder.

___There may also be some systemic disorders of infectious or neurological origin involving urinary system causing abnormal postures of micturition.
