It is the name of a plant (Dicentra spectabilis) that may sometime cause toxicity in animals like cattle, horse and sheep etc. It contains isoquinoline alkaloids that lead to toxicity. Since this plant is considered unpalatable so it is consumed by animals only when there is scaricity of other better forages. The toxicity is characterized by transient symptoms of drooling of saliva,colic, diarrhoea, opisthotonous, convulsions etc. and animals generally recover after withdrawl of plant from their food. In very few cases it becomes fatal. "
