painandrelief writes "Almost every vet who deals with bovines, daily finds cases of rumen dysfunction either as primariy disorder or secondary to some other disease. The area where I practiced, many of the cattle owners were poor and could not afford the expensive rumenotorics, So I use ruminal cud taken from slaughter house and transplant it into the animals suffering from rumen dysfunction (which in majority of the cases is caused by disturbance in the pH of rumen). And the results come out to be wonderful! Is there anybody else who is also doing rumen cud transplant to treat rumen dysfunction?
