painandrelief writes "ZOONOSES in simple terms means the diseases that can be transmitted from animals to human beings and vice-versa. Considering the present time scenario, the fear of such diseases e.g. Anthrax, Rabies, Mad Cow Disease, Birdflu--------etc. is very much there in the minds of people.
But I want to emphasize one thing that many of these diseases forecast their existence in animals much before their outbreaks in human beings and so the detection and tackling of these diseases in animals can prevent the transmission to human beings.
So we should keep in mind---
If we can rear a cow for milk,
If we can raise poultry for eggs and meat,
If we can keep a dog to watch our house,
why can't we keep our animals HEALTHY
To keep ourselves Healthy.
